New session: Webinar GARD™skin Dose-Response

3 September, 2020 @ 16:00 - 16:30

Given the huge interest in our previous webinar on GARDskin Dose-Response, we are pleased to offer you a new opportunity to get to know this novel in vitro test.

The webinar will start with a recorded presentation followed by a live Q&A session. You will learn how the assay works and how it can help you with skin sensitizing potency ranking of candidate ingredients and early decision-making during product development.

Key takeaways

  • How GARDskin Dose-Response works.
  • How the readouts correlate with LLNA EC3 values and human sensitizing potency categories.
  • Examples of how the readout can be used depending on the customer-specific needs.

GARDskin Dose-Response at a glance

GARDskin Dose-Response is a novel in vitro test for quantitative potency assessment of chemicals, adapted from GARDskin.

GARDskin Dose-Response provides an estimated threshold concentration for a test substance to induce skin sensitizing effects (higher equaling a lower potency and vice versa). This threshold concentration can be used for skin sensitizing potency ranking of candidate ingredients and early decision-making during product development.

Additionally, the readout can be extrapolated to a correlating LLNA EC3 value, which is traditionally used to measure skin sensitizing potency of chemicals. Depending on the customer needs, it can also be extrapolated to a correlating Basketter Human Potency category (1-6) and/or GHS/CLP classification (1A or 1B) with high statistical significance.
